Dr. Yuanwen Ouyang is the director of Research Institute of Aluminium Structural Engineering (Singapore) and Shanghai Jianke Aluminium Research Institute, as well as the founder of Shanghai Tongzheng Building Technology Group Co., Ltd.
Dr. Ouyang holds a Doctorate in Business Administration and is recognized as a professor-level Senior Engineer in China. He is dedicated to advancing green, innovative aluminium structures, particularly for complex, large-span spatial designs. He has taken part in 38 research projects and contributed to 27 national, local, and industry technical standards. He has published 67 research papers and two monographs, earning 18 awards, including the Second Prize of the Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award and the First Prize of the Sichuan Science and Technology Progress Award. Among his notable projects are Nanjing Usinisa Palace, Beijing Daxing International Airport Terminal, Shanghai G60 Sky City and Shanghai Expo Cultural Park Greenhouse.
He holds several significant positions in various professional organizations. He is the Executive Director of the Structural Design Branch of the China Survey & Design Association, the Executive Director of the Space Structure Association of the China Steel Construction Society, and the Executive Director of the Facade Academic Committee of the Architectural Society of China. Additionally, he serves as the Vice President of the Aluminium Structure Association of the China Metal Structures Association and the Deputy Director of the Shanghai Spatial Structure Engineering Technology Research Center. He is also a Corporate Member of the International Association for Shell and Spatial Structures.
